Syntactic and Pragmatic Characteristics of Situational Replicas in Fiction Text (by the Material of Women’s Literature)

Abstract. The article considers functioning of situational replicas in a fiction text. The author reveals a pragmatic and syntactic potential of female personages’ situational replicas, analyses influence of a communicative situation on situational replicas. The research objective includes identifying the basic syntactic features and pragmatic functions of situational replicas. The researcher introduces a preliminary definition of a situational replica and reveals its function as a conversation representative, which constitutes scientific originality of the study. The research findings are as follows: the author discovers general tendencies of using situational replicas in female personages’ speech, identifies the most frequent types of speech acts and syntactic structures.
