National Worldview in Anastasiya Syromyatnikova’s Creative Work

Abstract. The paper aims to identify specificity of artistic representation of national mentality in the Yakut writer Anastasiya Syromyatnikova’s works. The researcher shows how national worldview is represented at the level of poetics and at the level of the plot. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the writer’s literary heritage is for the first time considered from the viewpoint of national worldview representation. The research material includes, among other works, a children’s book. The findings indicate that A. Syromyatnikova reveals different aspects of national mentality: beauty of northern nature, customs and traditions of the Sakha people, native beliefs and ethnic psychology.
