Abstract. The paper aims to identify the structural features peculiar to classifications of non-verbal components of communication in the kinaesthetic representative system within the frame of discursive space. Considerable attention is paid to a detailed analysis of the main approaches to studying the typology of kinaesthetics and its characteristics. Scientific novelty lies in classifying non-verbal components of communication and their correlation in the semiotic field. The authors were the first to apply the model of spontaneous semiosis while differentiating gesture manifestations presented as an icon. As a result, semiotic significance of functional and non-functional classifications of non-verbal components of communication in the context of their interaction in a communicative act was substantiated.
