Verbs of Speech as Means of Anthropocentricity Manifestation (by the Material of the English-Language Military Periodicals)

Abstract. The article examines functioning of verbs of speech in texts of the English-language military periodicals. The research objective includes identifying peculiarities of anthropocentricity manifestation in journalistic commentaries. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author for the first time proposes a detailed thematic classification of these verbs. The findings indicate that semantic structure of the English verbs of speech includes the component "to have an effect on an object". The conclusion is made that anthropocentricity manifests itself in discourse of military periodicals.
