Specificity of Functioning of Present Tense Form on -а (-а формалы х?зерге заман) in the Pages of "Кояш" Newspaper

Abstract. The paper aims to identify morphological and semantic peculiarities of functioning of the Present Tense form on -а (-а формалы х?зерге заман) in the pages of the "Кояш" newspaper. Scientific originality of the research is conditioned by the fact that for the first time in the Tatar linguistics, the author examines grammatical peculiarities of the Old Tatar texts by the examples taken from the "Кояш" newspaper. The conducted analysis allows concluding that the newspaper texts under study contain the Present Tense forms typical of the Tatar language of the early XX century, as well as the Present Tense forms typical of the modern Tatar literary language.
