Structural Model of Chess Terms in the Russian Language

Abstract. The aim of the study is to identify the structural features of Russian chess terminology. The article determines the role of the term in the chess system, carries out a structural analysis and systematization of the chess game terms by the number of components. The scientific originality of the research consists in the construction of a structural model of chess terms in the Russian language, which is for the first time carried out in Russian terminology. As a result of a comprehensive analysis, it has been proved that, according to structural models, chess terminological units are subdivided into single-component, multicomponent, terminological phrases and phrasal combinations, and multicomponent units constitute a quantitative advantage.
