Genre Dominants of Gulag Poetry (by the Material of Poetical Texts of Bamlug (Baikal Amur Corrective Labor Camp) Prisoners)

Abstract. The paper aims to reveal genre specificity of censored Gulag poetry. The study is conducted by the material of publications in newspapers and magazines of Baikal Amur Corrective Labor Camp (Bamlug). The author introduces into scientific circulation previously unpublished literary and publicistic sources, for the first time analyzes genre paradigm of Bamlug poetry, reveals its interrelation with socialist realistic literature, which constitutes scientific originality of the study. As a result, it is proved that genre forms of Bamlug official poetry are determined not so much by current literary processes, but by corrective labor camp cultural and ideological policy. The research findings can be used when studying genre specificity of poetry of other Gulag camps.
