Productive Ways to Form Neologisms of the Conceptualized Group "Brexit" in the Modern English-Language Media Discourse

Abstract. The paper aims to identify the most productive models of neologism formation in the English-language media discourse. The research material includes neologisms of the conceptual-thematic area Brexit. Scientific originality of the study is conditioned by the fact that the English neologisms with the component Brexit are considered as an essential element of communication and an integral part of modern media discourse. The author presents observations and conclusions based on an analysis of factual material. The findings of this study indicate that the most productive ways of the Brexit neologism formation are stem composition, affixation and shortening.
