THE IMAGE OF THE EMPRESS TSI CI IN THE RUSSIAN PERIODICALS OF THE XIXTH - BEGINNING OF THE XXTH CENTURIES

Abstract. The article shows the characteristics of the outstanding woman-politician - Chinese Empress Tsi Ci - in Russian periodicals of the XIXth - beginning of the XXthcenturies. The facts which attracted the attention of the authors of that time and were widely covered in the periodicals are distinguished. This material allows not only studying the peculiarities of Russian political essays of the XIXth -beginning of the XXthcenturies but characterizing the world of Chinese politics and expressing its traditional culture and national specificity.
