Abstract. The article reveals the content of the notion "Political culture" in society. One of the conditions of society effective development is knowledge of the political culture of social and political subjects. The necessity of such knowledge becomes more and more actual when fundamental changes taking place in social-economic bases of modern society have led to the decrease of people's interest in political activity.
