FUNCTIONAL TRANSFORMATION OF IRONY IN THE EPOCH OF POST ART NOUVEAU

Abstract. In the article irony as the world vision base of post art nouveau culture, its attribute and essential characteristic are considered. Special attention is paid to finding out the socio-cultural functions of irony in the epoch of post art nouveau. It is suggested and argued that during the specified cultural-historical period the considerable transformation of irony functions takes place especially concerning the expansion of the functioning field itself.
