THE SPANISH TAKING SERVICE WITH RUSSIA: THE DESTINY OF THE LYCEUM STUDENT ALEKSANDR MIKHAILOVICH ESPEKHO

Abstract. The article presents the results of the biographical research of the life of one of the last descendants of the Spanish noblemen Espekho in Russia, the graduate of Imperial Aleksandr Lyceum - Aleksandr Mikhailovich Espekho, Mikhail Espekho's grandson and Agustin de Betancourt's pupil and companion-in-arms. Special attention is paid to the research of A. M. Espekho's activity in different public, Orthodox and charity organizations. A. M. Espekho's destiny is the bright example of the destinies of many lyceum graduates, his contemporaries. This research is especially topical in the year of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Imperial Aleksandr lyceum.
