LIQUIDATION OF MARKET RELATIONS IN COUNTRYSIDE AND GRAIN PROCUREMENT CAMPAIGN OF 1927-1928 (BY OREL PROVINCE MATERIALS)

Abstract. In the article the crisis of grain procurement campaign in Orel province in 1927-28 is considered. The author analyzes the crisis reasons, the ways of its overcoming, its subsequent influence on the agrarian sector development and the liquidation of market relations in the countryside. Special attention is also paid to the world-view breaking of the most typical representatives of the analyzed reference groups. The conclusion is made that grain procurement crisis in the province was provoked by the authorities as one of the instruments of influencing peasantry.
