RIVER TRANSPORT OF EASTERN SIBERIA IN THE ХVIIITH - THE FIRST HALF OF THE ХIХTH CENTURIES

Abstract. The article is devoted to river communications formation in Eastern Siberia. The author presents the data about navigation role in the transportation of public and merchant goods, pays special attention to the transit transportation which provided the development of Russian-Chinese trade and marks that river transport continued to remain the leading one notwithstanding the growth of the transportations along the roads and highways of Siberia in the first half of the ХIХth century.
