Abstract. The author analyzes the peculiarities of the criminalistic characteristic of the crimes connected with illegal drug traffic by means of mailing and considers the basic methods of sending and concealing substances under control in mail and also the typical traces of these crimes and the peculiarities of the personal characteristic of the perpetrators committing them.
