CONSIDERATION OF NON-ORTHODOX CONFESSIONS PROBLEMS AT HOLY GOVERNING SYNOD MEETINGS IN REIGN OF PAUL I

Abstract. The author studies the process of various issues consideration and resolution at the meetings of the Synod associated with the life activity of Catholic and Uniate confessions within the western lands annexed to Russia as a result of the partition of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and comes to the conclusion that the Russian Orthodox Church leaders were not seriously engaged in the problem of inter-confessional relations in Russia at the end of the XVIII^th century.
