Abstract. The author reveals some of the elements of the universal esoteric philosophy, the basic shamanic views of the proto-Buryats as reflected in the Buryats' mythology and the heroic epos, explains sacred shamanic constants, and analyzes such elements of shamanism as cosmogonic and cosmological ones, tengrism, basic primary elements, the numeric symbols of shamans, various cults and rituals.
