Saratov State Conservatory named after L. V. Sobinov
Abstract. By the example of Saratov State Conservatory (Academy) named after L. V. Sobinov, celebrating its 100th anniversary, the author considers artistic higher education establishment role in the development of a certain Russian region culture, gives the brief description of the conservatory graduates, who wrote remarkable pages in the history of the native art, reveals the significance of Saratov Conservatory existence for several regions of the country (creative staff provision, assistance in new culture institutions creation), and suggests the prospect of this musical higher education establishment development into University of Arts as a unique educational structure.
