CHILDHOOD MODUS IN CONTEXT OF LARGE-SCALE WORKS OF RUSSIAN MUSIC ART OF THE XIXTH CENTURY

Abstract. The works related to the theme of childhood in musicology are usually classified according to the principle about children and for children basing on B. Asaf'ev's system. However, there exist the examples of children's images embodiment in the works, neither intended for the performance by children, nor for children's perception. The image of a child becomes a part of a composer's complex philosophical conceptions. The author of the article analyzes the origins of childhood modus formation in a composer's creativity, and discusses in detail the fantastic perspective of children's images implementation in P. I. Chaikovskii's ballet and opera heritage.
