Abstract. The author reveals the ontological and epistemological preconditions of the formation of materialistic world view on religious consciousness nature, and gives the explanation of faith phenomenon interpretation genesis in European philosophy not only because of social life structure changes but in view of the general crisis of idealism as philosophical views system at a certain stage of its development.
