NATIONAL-CULTURAL AUTONOMY AS FORM OF SELF-DETERMINATION AND POLITICAL PARTICIPATION OF PEOPLES OF RUSSIA (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE LEZGINS)

Abstract. The author analyzes the example of the implementation of the law On National-Cultural Autonomy in the Russian Federation in 1996, considers the formation and activity of Federal Lezgin National-Cultural Autonomy (NCA), and presents the position on the ratification of Russian-Azerbaijan agreement on the state border in 2010 affecting the area of Lezgins residence as the example of Lezgins NCA political activity.
