Abstract. The author discusses the problem of the managerial human resources of collective farms within Mari ASSR during Great Patriotic War, and pays attention not only to objective difficulties that occurred in personnel problems solution of villages within the republic, but also to the disadvantages - devotion to administrative and judicial measures, personnel purges by People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs, etc. - negatively affecting the turnover and changeability of collective farms chairmen staff during the war.
