Abstract. The author reveals a number of the practical questions associated with the collection of the personal data of private security guards, staff and visitors at protection sites while ensuring access control, and basing on the analysis of Articles 3 and 5 of the Federal Law of 27.07.2006 № 152-ФЗ On Personal Data and the legislation on private detective and security activity makes suggestions on the improvement of the normative regulation in this area.
