BIOMETRIC PERSONAL DATA OF CITIZENS AS PROTECTION FRAME OF UNIVERSAL ELECTRONIC CARDS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the questions of the legal regulation of personal biometric data use in electronic documents certifying the citizen’s identity. As a result of the conducted analysis the author comes to the conclusion about the necessity to enter certain elements of all adult citizens’ biometric parameters, as well as to create a common information resource containing the biometric parameters of convicted persons. The need for the development and adoption of the law "On Biometric Personal Data" is emphasized.
