PRECONDITIONS FOR THE RUSSIAN-CHINESE SOCIAL-CULTURAL INTERACTION EXPANSION IN 1850-1881

Abstract. The author analyzes the texts of the treaties between the Russian Empire and China signed in 1851-1881, considers the question of international agreements influence on the development of the Russian-Chinese cultural interaction, and emphasizes the new opportunities that formal treaties gave to the Russian subjects for diplomatic, trade and research activity, for the expansion of interpersonal relationships with the people of China.
