PROBLEM OF UKRAINE PARTICIPATION IN THE EUROPEAN UNION PROGRAMME "EASTERN PARTNERSHIP"

Abstract. The author considers the problem of Ukraine participation in the EU programme "Eastern Partnership", substantiates the idea that the EU recognizes the need to expand its political influence in the former Soviet republics – now independent states that predetermines its actions within the framework of the programme "Eastern Partnership", and in such a context pays particular attention to Ukraine participation in the EU programme, taking into account the significance of the Ukrainian state as one of the biggest in Europe, on which geopolitical choice many processes that occur in the near and far abroad depend.
