Abstract. The authors conduct the scientific analysis of the theory and practice of frontier forces construction formation and development in the Far East, which main function was to protect the Soviet border during military conflicts at the Far Eastern borders in the 1920s - the first half of the 1940s, and reveal the features of frontier security organization at the Soviet Far Eastern borders.
