Abstract. The author reveals the forms and methods of amateur arts organization within military groups, in military academies and at courses, in depots and training military units of the Siberian Military District and the Transbaikal Front during the Great Patriotic War, using the funds of military establishments and units shows the place and role of the Red Army’s amateur arts in the patriotic education of soldiers, and tells that the article is of interest to the high command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Border Guard Forces of the Federal Security Service of Russia, and the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
