Abstract. In the article the problem of word devaluation in the modern world is considered and a possible way of its overcoming is suggested – gesture cultivation as a communication way and feelings and thoughts expression form. Considering gesture communicative potential, the author comes to the conclusion about its independence as a communication way from the word. Gesture cultivation brings in aesthetic and sacral aspects to social life and, finally, helps to heal the word releasing the latter from the role of the main means of information transfer unusual for it.
