DIALECTICS OF FRAMING AND CONTENT IN AEDICULE AND IN MODERN WINDOW

Abstract. The article analyzes structural and functional correlations between modern window and the cultic religious and mortuary architectural elements of the antiquity and the Middle Ages - aediculae and naiskoi. The author justifies genetic and structural-functional continuity between wall niches and windows from the viewpoint of the integrity of esthetic, axiological and praxeological in the perception of a subject. According to the author, the utilitarian and pragmatic function of window quite naturally goes beyond the limits of market reality and its representative function transforms into cosmological and ideological.
