BEING OF PARMENIDES AS "IDENTITY OF BEING AND THINKING": ONTOLOGICAL MONISM AND ALL-PERVADING UNITY WITHOUT MULTIPLICITY

Abstract. The article considers some aspects of the ontology of Parmenides remaining debatable up to our days. The author presents a number of his thoughts about the so-called "identity of being and thinking" of Parmenides, its modern interpretations. All these factors are analyzed in the light of searches for the grounds of ideal being and ideal unity of the world, which began in antiquity.
