INFLUENCE OF MYTH AND MYTHOLOGICAL THINKING ON CONSCIOUSNESS OF MODERN MAN

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the role of the modern man’s mythological thinking. The author reveals and substantiates a parallel between the thinking of the modern man and archaic thinking. The paper presents the evaluation of this problem by the leading scientists: M. Eliade, C. G. Jung, E. Fromm and J. Campbell. Particular attention is paid to the influence of archaisms, superstitions on human thinking. The author traces the psychological preconditions of creating new myths in the consciousness of the modern man.
