Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine

Abstract. The article considers the historical-cultural preconditions of the methodological base formation of performers-instrumentalists’ education in Eastern Galicia and Bukovina in the XIX th century. The main varieties of manuals, textbooks, schools, teach-yourself books of the European and regional specialists are reviewed, which were used for teaching in the leading centers of professional musical education. The novelty of the article is in the comparative analysis of the works reflecting the complex system of the components of the performer-instrumentalist’ formation in concordance with philosophical-aesthetical positions of that epoch.
