SAFETY CULTURE FORMATION ON SIBERIAN RAILROAD IN 1900-1913

Abstract. The article brings into focus the problems of safety on the Siberian railroad at the turn of the XIX th-XX th centuries and considers them in the course of socio-cultural approach. The reasons for low safety level on the railroad in the late XIX th – early XX th century and the basic directions of efforts on improving transport safety level are emphasized. The influence of purely technical and organizational measures on socio-cultural space and, in particular, on forming a new type of culture – the safety one – is noted.
