Abstract. The article analyzes the philosophical theories, which allow solving the problem of consciousness being as subjective consistency in the objectively existing world. The phenomenon of consciousness is considered from the point of view of the ontological unity of its four basic features - unoriginality, immateriality, subjectivity and activity. Problematic areas in the rational construction of such ontological unity are revealed.
