BEGINNING OF EDUCATION FORMATION IN NORTH CAUCASUS (THE FIRST HALF OF THE XIX CENTURY)

Abstract. The article analyzes the educational policy of the government of Russia in the first half of the XIX century, identifies the specifics of social-political and educational movement in the region in the mentioned period, describes its influence on the development of school and the humanistic ideas of the North Caucasian people. The author concludes that the first stage of social-political ideas (the end of the XVIII - the 60s of the XIX century) is characterized by the further development of public education in the region and the appearance of the pioneers of highland intellectuals, who under the supervision of the leading Russian educators evoked the social ideas of their people and directed them to further convergence with each other and great Russia.
