GENERAL TENDENCIES IN SPHERE OF PATENTING CELL CULTURES OF MICROAND MACROORGANISMS IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract. In the article the current state of patenting the cell cultures of micro- and macroorganisms in the Russian Federation is studied. On the basis of data presented in the public registers of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property in the column С12N of International Patent Classification general tendencies in the development of patenting in this sphere are revealed. The author makes a conclusion about a considerable decrease in patent activity in the field of biotechnology development, which is a consequence of serious problems with the legal support of this field.
