THOUGHT EXPERIMENTS OF ANALYTICAL PHILOSOPHY OF CONSCIOUSNESS: THROUGH THE LENSES OF CRITICISM

Suz'ko Ol'ga Leonidovna
Far Eastern Federal University

Abstract. The article examines the peculiarities of argumentation common in the framework of the analytical philosophy of consciousness. The analysis is conducted by the example of several thought experiments - "Mary’s Room" and "Chinese Room", - which, each in its own aspect, are aimed at the proof of a peculiar status of consciousness in the physical world. The focus is made on the critical comprehension of the data of thought experiments by the leading analytical philosophers of the end of the XX century.
