Abstract. The article considers the process of the distribution of the international organization idea in Great Britain during the First World War. The author analyzes the genesis of the first organizations that were aimed at the practical implementation of this idea, and shows the transformation of its support movement from the Union of Democratic Control to the League of Nations Society formed in 1915 by liberal politicians and public figures.
