CONCERT HALL IN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIAL-CULTURAL TRANSFORMATIONS

Kramer Aleksandr Yur'evich
Russian Christian Academy for the Humanities in St. Petersburg

Abstract. The article proposes to consider the logic of the transformations of the concert hall as a cultural object in the context of qualitative changes in the social-cultural ways of human contact with music. The emergence and development of the concert hall (as a specialized building) are associated with the activity of music companies; technical progress made the concert hall optional for listening to music. The author supposes it necessary to conduct the complex study of the currently existing practice of contacts with music in order to predict their further transformation.
