MOVEMENT FOR COMMUNIST LABOR AT TYUMEN ACCUMULATOR PLANT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEVEN-YEAR PLAN (1959-1960)

Abstract. The mechanisms of competitive activity and financial encouragement in Soviet economy were substituted for the methods of moral character, in particular, the creation of the conditions of competition. In the article for the first time on the basis of micro-historical approach the initial phase of movement for communist attitude toward labor at Tyumen Accumulator Plant is studied. The authors conclude that the newly introduced type of competition was not very successful.
