PEDAGOGICAL IDEAS OF RUSSIAN COOPERATORS (THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE XX CENTURY)

Abstract. The article examines the pedagogical ideas of the Russian cooperative movement personalities, shows the relation of cooperation and humanistic pedagogy. The author focuses on the debatable issues of the content and means of the cooperative education of children as the future employees of cooperative organizations and the citizens of a new system based on cooperative principles. The paper touches on the problem of the cooperative socialization of the personality and the character formation from the viewpoint of cooperation. The researcher identifies the moral and volitional qualities of the individual required by cooperative practice (persistence, firmness, brotherhood, diligence, freedom, responsibility, independence).
