Yashin Anatolii Nikolaevich
Murmansk Academy of Economics and Management

Abstract. The author dwells on the attitude of the Russian thinkers of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century to law and state, shows the danger of ignoring the axiological aspects of law as a social regulator and preserver of universal values. The paper reveals the destructive role of the ideas of anti-legal moralism and legal nihilism, argues for the hopelessness of non-legal means to change social and state structure and social progress based on the radical principle "the end justifies the means".
