"ABHISAMAYALAMKARA" AS A BASIS OF GELUG PHILOSOPHICAL TRADITION

Abstract. The article analyzes the conception "Abhisamayalamkara", its meaning and importance for Tibetan Buddhism. Providing a systemic description of the Prajnaparamita doctrine this treatise serves as a guide for Buddhist practitioners on their way to Enlightenment. Having reached Tibet in the IX century, "Abhisamayalamkara" became a basic doctrinal paper of the Gelug tradition, which, in its turn, influenced the formation of ideological and spiritual values of the Tibetan people and the whole historical development of this state.
