Abstract. The article examines the problem of the style interpretation of antique heritage in the English jewellery of the 60s of the XIX century. Relying on the artistic analysis of the jewellery, which was presented at the International Exhibition in London in 1862, the author identifies the typological, constructive, shape-generating principles and techniques of antiquity that were used by English jewellers and their implementations in new materials and style forms of historicism.
