Abstract. The article examines the processes of sociocultural transformation in Kyrgyzstan, their influence on the formation of civil society. Relying on the research findings the author concludes that sociocultural transformation in Kyrgyzstan gradually causes the revaluation of values and priorities changing the people’s worldview and promotes the revival of old and the formation of new institutions of civil society.
