SOCIO-CULTURAL INTEGRATION AT THE SOUTH OF RUSSIA: SEARCHING FOR FOUNDATIONS

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying value and ideological conflicts and their foundations associated with the extreme forms of a human being’s identification with the ethnic or religious group. Double opposition tendencies (modernization - traditionalization, secularization - clericalization) also come out as foundations of value and ideological conflicts. The author examines the role of socio-cultural integration as an instrument to solve value and ideological conflicts and to counteract extremism.
