PLACE AND ROLE OF A WOMAN IN THE MODERN RUSSIAN SOCIETY

Abstract. The article examines the issue of a woman’s place and role in the modern Russian society. In this connection the historical and philosophical approach to the understanding of a woman’s mission, her social status and role in the society is analyzed. To change a woman’s status and role in the conditions of modern Russia the author highlights the necessity of orientation to a new system of values aimed to alleviate tension in the society through the practice of social creative work implemented in women’s social initiatives.
