TRANSFORMATION OF SCULPTURE AS AN ART FORM IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XX - AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XXI CENTURY

Abstract. The article is devoted to the changes that occurred in the understanding of sculpture as an art form in the second half of the XX - at the beginning of the XXI century. The author focuses on the features of boundaries transformation of the form category of art in the conditions of modern art practices, studies the prerequisites for the development of this trend. The study touches upon the problem of modern approaches to creating sculptural works and works located at the intersection of several art forms and having sculptural features.
