GRAFFITI ART IN TATARSTAN: TERMINOLOGY, FUNCTIONING AND DEVELOPMENTAL TENDENCIES

Abstract. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of Tatar graffiti art formation and development. The author clarifies the basic terminology, examines the types, functions, purposes, forms of the new kind of art in modern urban space. The analysis indicates that graffiti art, having endured a difficult period of vandalism and hooliganism, reached a new level and takes an important place in the modern artistic system.
